Eloping- Why do it?

Have you ever thought about eloping, but weren’t sure?

What does it mean to “elope” anyway?
Well- if you “Google” why elope. The first thing that comes up as a reason is because the couples families might not approve of the marriage. So- not true! If you ever thought about eloping, all you need to do is ask yourself some questions.

WHERE WOULD YOU BE?
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
WHO WOULD BE WITH YOU?
HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE?

Elopement Myths

One of the biggest myths is that a couple needs to travel in order to elope, which is not true. An elopement can happen anywhere, in your own state, on top of a mountain, in a city. Somewhere that you have never been, or a place that you have frequented and have fallen in love with. The next biggest myth is that it can’t be more than two people. If your ideal wedding is a micro wedding overlooking the lake with 15 of your closest family + friends, then that’s what you can have.  Another misconception is that an elopement doesn’t require as much coverage as standard wedding coverage. If you dream elopement location is at the Blue Lake of Ouray, that Blue Lakes trail is over 8 miles round trip, until you factor in getting ready photos,  some stops for photos along the trail in, the ceremony, sunset at the lakes, + then the hike under the stars out, several hours will be needed.

You can create an elopement experience as unique as your love story.

Why Elope?

One main reason, if not THEE main reason why a you might choose to elope is because it is 100% customizable! YES, 100% you can do anything YOU like. Which means that your wedding day is 100% unique! Totally different from everyone else’s- How cool!

It will be truly intimate wedding experience.
